Inter are working on striking a deal for Manchester City’s Pablo Zabaleta. They are also trying to sign Genoa’ Christian Ansaldi.
Inter are in the market for a right-back. The nerazzurri are keen to add to their lack of depth in defense, and are working on signing two Argentine defenders.
According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, Christian Ansaldi has accepted Inter’s proposal. However, Inter are also in talks to sign Pablo Zabaleta. Mancini’s side met with the Manchester City player’s agent yesterday. Inter’s vice president Javier Zanetti is currently in the United States to meet with the Argentina squad, and he could talk with Zabaleta about a potential Inter move. At the moment it seems that Inter will get Ansaldi instead of Zabaleta due to financial restrictions.
Christian Ansaldi was recently bought outright by Genoa from Zenit St. Petersburg for 4 million euros. Pablo Zabaleta has one year left on his contract with Manchester City.
