Milan striker M’Baye Niang, after scoring the first of two goals for Milan, reflected on his performance in the 2-0 victory over Sampdoria at The Marassi
The French striker spoke to Milan Channel after the match, talking about the performance of the club and the comforts of playing as a striker.
Niang, according to the official club site:
“We’re very happy to have progressed to the next round of the competition. It’s a great feeling, but now we have to focus right away on the next match with Frosinone.”
“I gave everything tonight and tried to keep it going throughout. I am pleased and we all have to give our absolute all for the team.”
On playing as a striker up top:
“I have always said that I feel at my best as a striker. I am nearer to the goal and can get more touches on the ball. But in the end, it’s down to the coach and I am always ready to play wherever. I have now scored 3 goals against Sampdoria, but there is still a long way to go this season.”
The 20-year old expressing his confidence in the team:
“We’re a group of men and great players, so we’re not paying attention to anything from the outside. We will come out of this situation because we are all working really hard out on the training ground.”
