Former Empoli defender Lorenzo Tonelli has just completed his medical with Napoli at Villa Stuart in Rome.
The former Empoli center-back was reportedly bought by Napoli for €10m + €2m in bonuses, as per Sky Italia. The Italian will sign with Napoli shortly after passing the medical.
After the complications with Alberto Grassi in January, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has asked for a more thorough checkup for Tonelli as he does not want the same injury complications that Grassi had.
Now, all Napoli fans are waiting for is an official announcement to embrace their first signing of the summer transfer window.
