In two weeks, Brazilian defender Alex will officially part ways with AC Milan.
The experienced centre-half could return to his homeland, specifically Santos. This will be a homecoming for Alex who previously had 78 appearances for the Brazilian club early in his career.
Reported by Lancenet, the 34-year-old will finally make his return home after enjoying over 10 years with European clubs.
Alex has played for illustrious European clubs like Chelsea, PSG, PSV and AC Milan. In the process, he’s won several league titles in England, France and the Netherlands.
Originally arriving in Europe in 2004 from Santos, it seems fitting 12 years later he could return back home to where he grew up and started his professional career.
AC Milan have opted not to renew his contract, which expires at the end of the month.
