Bologna unveiled new Sporting Director Riccardo Bigon today and expressed his interest around a certain Italy forward.
Bigon has landed back on his feet following his one year disastrous stint with Hellas Verona, who finished dead last in the Serie A table. The club’s failure can hardly be placed on Bigon as he arrived at a time where most of the damage was done to the roster, and with the limited budget there’s only so much you can do.
Now at Bologna, a much more ambitious side backed up by Canadian businessman Joey Saputo, Bigon can potentially put together a very competitive side for Roberto Donadoni.
At the top of the list there is Giuseppe Rossi, the injury plagued but back in action Fiorentina owned forward. Bigon commented on him during the conference. “We know his talent and the injuries he’s suffered in the last few years. I can say at the moment there’s not any negotiations but a mutual appreciation.”
