Diego Lopez was benched in favor of teenage phenom Gianluigi Donnarumma and has since seldom seen the pitch.
In January, Lopez has the opportunity to leave Milan to play in Turkey. However, he preferred to stay in Milan. Now after Mihajlovic was sacked, in whom he had a great relationship with, Lopez will have to evaluate the new Milan project.
His agent Manuel Garcia Quilon spoke to MilanNews.it discussing the future of his client.
“There aren’t any great offers, for the moment Diego will stay at Milan, then we’ll see.”
It’s hard to see Donnarumma giving up the starting role with the form he’s in and his future, but time will tell. A possible return to Spain could be on the cards before the end of August.
