Sevilla’s Unai Emery has dominated the UEFA Europa League in recent times, winning the title three years in a row.
The Spanish tactician has been long sought after by AC Milan and finally it seems that Emery has allowed the notion to begin to materialize. According to Corriere della Sera, he has given his availability to Adriano Galliani to transfer to Milan ahead of next season. In order to sign him before June 30th, Milan would have to pay Sevilla a €1.5 million release clause.
Emery likes the club’s outlook in the future and sees it as a new challenge, his arrival may be enough to also keep Carlos Bacca in Milan. It was Emery who kicked Bacca into super stardom when he signed with Sevilla a few years ago.
With Milan’s ownership situation still very questionable, who will be at the helm for next season is anybody’s guess, as anything could happen in the next few months.
