The on-loan Sampdoria defender will not be part of Inter’s squad for next season per reports.
Numerous reports out of Italy are indicating Andrea Ranocchia will be playing in the Europa League next season, but not with Inter but rather Sassuolo.
President Squinzi hasn’t given up on adding another high-profile defender to his ranks, the problem is the fee. To circumvent this problem, there’s the idea of a possible trade that sees Acerbi wearing Nerazzurri and Ranocchia Neroverdi.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Sassuolo aren’t the only side interested in the ex-Bari centerback. Fiorentina and a few English sides have conducted inquiries to gauge the possibility of bringing Ranocchia to their respective clubs.
Ranocchia has a future that is yet to be written. In the early days of summer, it’s still unclear where he will be plying his trade next. One thing is for certain, it will not be Inter.
