Under fire Lazio manager Stefano Pioli was full of regret after his side conceded a late equalizer at home to Sampdoria.
Ervin Zurkanovic’s deflected free-kick cancelled out a header from Alessandro Matri to leave The Biancolesti 12th in the Serie A table.
Pioli said: “It was a tough game, we started well but then we began to struggle. We have worked with concentration and attention this week. Unfortunately, it’s amazing how well we work and how then everything becomes complicated in the game.
“This game is a signal that this time is difficult, but the injury time we handled differently. It’s a pity, because the victory tonight, was richly deserved.”
After only amounting two points from there last seven games, Pioli was questioned on his future at the club.
He said: “Until today I felt the trust of everyone, clubs and players. Unfortunately we were unable to field our best game.
Lazio now face top of the table Inter in the San Siro on Sunday, and it remains to be seen whether Mr Pioli will be in the dugout at the weekend.
