Germany and Roma center-back Antonio Rudiger has officially been ruled out of this summer’s upcoming Euro 2016 due to a cruciate ligament injury.
It seemed as though Germany were to rely heavily upon Rudiger for this up-and-coming European Championship. However, the plans have changed and Joachim Low must look to a replacement call for his injured center-half.
The reported injury took place during Tuesday’s training session at the German National Team camp in preparation for their first Euro 2016 match this Sunday against the Ukraine. Apparently, Low has not specified who he will be replacing the injured Rudiger with.
Also, the news of his injury could now hinder a potential move to Stamford Bridge to play with Antonio Conte’s Chelsea. Although, it is unclear as to whether the London-based club have pulled out of negotiations yet with Roma for Rudiger.
