The Ultras of the Ligurian club are not pleased with the direction of where their club is headed and want clarity from the President.
In an official statement released by the Genoa Ultras, via TMW, they have requested to hold a face-to-face meeting with Genoa President Enrico Preziosi over the state of the Ligurian club’s future and long-term plans. Following an impressive 2014/2015 season where they secured a Europa League spot but failed to enter the competition due to their failure to acquire a UEFA License, the club floated above the relegation zone this season before rising up and finishing 11th on 46 points. The Ultras stated:
We are asking Preziosi for a public meeting. We are ready to agree with him directly on a date and time for it. We do not want a contradictory, we will let him say whatever he wants as long as he tells the truth. We want to know his true intentions, if he has plans, what they are and we want him to do it in front of all the people of Genoa. We would like respect and we believe Genoa should not operate in a way which has personal interests as its objective at the expense of Genoa’s well-being.
