The Italy forward is seen as a crucial part to Conte’s plan to succeed in France this summer.
The alarms are going off again this morning in Coverciano as Pellè isn’t at 100% after suffering a knock to his right knee during tactical training yesterday. Conte’s training camps do usually claim a few victims, especially during his tenure as coach of the Azzurri.
The Italy doctors have advised Pellè not to partake in today’s work with the rest of the squad, and for this reason he will not partake in the afternoon training session. Weather permitting there is a training session as it is raining heavily in Florence.
The Southampton striker will be monitored over the next few days, as of now, there’s no word that he will be discharged from the Azzurri roster nor an exclusion from Monday’s friendly against Finland.
Pellè has scored five goals in 12 appearances for Antonio Conte since his debut in 2014.
