With Antonio Conte stepping down after the conclusion of Euro 2016, the Italian FA will announce his replacement tomorrow.
Carlo Tavecchio, the President of the Italian FA (FIGC) spoke to the media today giving a brief overview of what’s to come tomorrow.
“Tomorrow is the day where we’ll tell and indicate the new head coach (CT) of the national team. Pride and resistance are not my traits. We’ve done a search that has brought us to a new CT without triumphalism. Conte? I’m nostalgic but I knew from before that he would likely leave after the end of the Euros. It was written to be that way.”
Many reports indicate that ex-Torino coach Giampiero Ventura will be the new coach of the Azzurri heading into 2018.
