AC Milan’s status is reaching unforeseen lows as a multitude of issues plague the club.
There’s not a transfer window to be had, nor a clear future in sight, writes Gianluca Di Marzio of SKY. It’s a transition phase for Milan as the club may or may not be sold. Club president Silvio Berlusconi has made rash comments and has swung back and forth on a possible sale of the club over the ‘Chinese eating their babies’.
However, with an interim coach yet to be confirmed, there was hope last week that Unai Emery could come running to the club’s rescue. Galliani has long been an admirer for quite some time, yet because of the ownership situation he has been unable to close a deal.
And in worse news, PSG has begun to train their sights on the Spaniard, as he could be named the successor to Laurent Blanc. The Qatari owned club could close the deal in the next few days.
No Europe, no clarity, no mercato and possibly a missed opportunity to sign one of Europe’s best coaches. Times are tough in the red and black side of Milan.
