The now ex-Internacional player left the club in tears, but cannot wait for his new adventure to get underway in Italy.
Speaking to Vocegiallorossa, the keeper gave fans a little insight on the kind of player and person he is.
“I’m very happy to go to Italy, I’m leaving the first of July. From what I’ve seen the Italian league is very tactical and the goalkeeper is less exposed. I still haven’t studied the attackers that I will face that well yet, but I’ve followed many matches. I’m very anxious to go, I can’t wait. I still don’t know Italy that well but I’m already learning a bit of Italian. Among goalkeepers my idol is Buffon, but I admire a lot Dida and Neuer. In Rome and in Italy the passion for football is enormous, I’ll look to always give the maximum for the team and for [the fans], so that when I see them in the streets they don’t insult me.”
Alisson was not named to the Copa America or Olympic national teams for Brazil.
The 23 year old keeper played in 38 matches in all competitions last year for Internacional do Porto Alegre.
