The Bosnian striker did not enjoy an overly successful inaugural season in the Italian capital.
With a flurry of under performing appearances for the Giallorossi this past season, Edin Dzeko could find himself leaving Roma this summer. Sunderland are now reportedly waiting in the wing to bring the Bosnian back to England.
The English side offered about 11 million sterling to Pallotta’s club, with a weekly wage of around 140,000 sterling a week. However, Roma are still holding firm on their asking price of 15 million sterling.
The decision is in the hands of the player, who’d either want to stay or go to a top club.
In either case, Sunderland are going heavy for the Bosnian, who at one point was one of the most coveted strikers in Europe when he joined Manchester City. Alas, that is no longer the case.
