Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio spoke to the media directly after the game today and touched upon the result.
After dominating the game for the most part, Juventus were unable to find the back of the net and played out to a stalemate against Inter. Claudio Marchisio, however, believes the result is a decent one all things considered. He told Sky Sport,:
“Our intention was to come here and win the game. We know that we have ground to make up but it was the first game that we didn’t concede a goal. A draw with Inter is fine.”
The road to first place won’t be an easy one –
“We have to believe in ourselves but we must know that there is not much time. If we don’t play with any consistency, we won’t go anywhere.”
Do you still believe you can reach first place?
“We have to because we are the champions of Italy but, I repeat, there’s not much time. Now we have the Champions League and our focus is on that.”
Rumours linking you to Liverpool?
“I’m not interested, I just signed a contract with Juventus. I came back from injury and I have to work to return to form. That’s what I’m focused on.”
