Italy has scheduled a friendly in Brussels to play again Belgium, the new #1 nation in the FIFA Ranking.
The game will take place on November 13 at the “King Baudouin” Stadium in remembrance of the Heysel tragedy.
The luxury friendly will kick off at 20:45 local time.
The Heysel tragedy was a disaster which took place on May 29th, 1985 in the Champions Cup final between Liverpool and Juventus. 39 people died, in which 32 were Italian in a stadium accident.
Italy and Belgium have met 20 times in the past and Italy holds the greater share of success with 13 victories, 4 ties and 3 defeats.
The last game played was a friendly at the Stadio Artemio Franchi in Florence where the Azzurri won 3-1.
The last time Italy played in Brussels, they lost 2-1 to Mexico in the buildup to the World Cup in South Africa.
