Fiorentina coach Paulo Sousa spoke after his team’s 3-1 loss to Juventus and wasn’t particularly satisfied with la viola’s display.
In his post-match interview with Sky, the former Basel boss told reporters,:
“Tonight we lacked patience. We shouldn’t have accelerated the pace and give Juventus the chance to score on the counter attack.”
On his side’s possession but lack of clear-cut chances:
“We controlled the match but towards the end we didn’t generate many chances and took few shots on net. It was difficult to find space with their defenders covering well. Along with the midfielders on the flanks they were five defending together.”
On playing at the Juventus Stadium:
“I had said that Juve was strong defensively and they made life difficult for us. Despite the result we maintain our form and know our strength. It is not easy leaving Juventus stadium with a result. We have to find ways to score goals fro outside the area.”
