Roma’s poor form continues as the Roman side suffered a penalty shootout loss to Serie B side La Spezia. Garcia post match confirmed though that he will not be leaving, here are his words:
“In the first half we lacked just a bit of everything. Above all you could see that the team has lost confidence. It’s un-normal to not even try to take to risks, only passing backwards or sideways.”
“This should be a lesson for the guys, when you play with doubts, you aren’t going anywhere. We must regain confidence. Sunday is vital I will see the best way to approach the match. We must put in all energy, with pride, character and courage.”
“The second half was better than the first but it still isn’t normal that we had to go to penalties today.”
“I’ll speak to the lads, the truth is though, we have no alibis. Against Napoli we showed grinta and showed we were capable of keeping up with a team like Napoli, but today, I don’t know if everyone understood that this club is important and that we should by no means be losing in the Coppa Italia to a Serie B team at home.”
Garcia also confirmed he won’t be leaving, “Resign? I’m not leaving, I will fight to the death.”
