Napoli have secured UEFA Champions League football for next season with a second place finish. In an attempt to bolster the club for the ensuing campaign, Aurelio De Laurentiis and Maurizio Sarri could look to Pescara for some depth.
Twenty-two year old attacker Gianluca Caprari, alongside Gianluca Lapadula, has been dynamite for Pescara all season long. Delfini are currently in the midst of a Serie A promotional playoff against Trapani, but that hasn’t stopped clubs from pursuing their stars.
According to Alfredo Pedulla, the Neapolitans have requested information from Pescara on Caprari. Of course, there is still optimism inside the Napoli camp that they can strike a deal for 26-year old forward Lapadula who has amassed 30 goals this campaign.
Caprari has been a bit overlooked this season due to the efforts of Lapadula, but there is no disputing his importance to manager Massimo Oddo and the club’s success. The ex-Roma primavera has to his name 13 goals to compliment thirteen assists, via transfermarkt. Juventus are also said to be a reported suitor for his services.
