With the arrival of Gian Piero Gasperini, Mauricio Pinilla is set to depart Atalanta.
Pinilla left Gasperini’s last club, Genoa, due to differences regarding style of play and playing time. Couple that with the fact that Alberto Paloschi is close to penning a deal with the Bergamo side means it’s all be set for him to leave.
But his career in Italy may not be over yet, the 32-year old is likened by Udinese, Genoa and Sassuolo. All three clubs would fit the bill, according Sky Sport and it seems that his stay in Italy is to be continued.
Pinilla has played for more clubs than you can count, over the past decade and a half he’s played in Chile, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Scotland, Brazil and Cyprus. A move away from Atalanta would mean that he’s played for seven clubs in Italy.
The journeyman of journeymen has however, appeared 42 times for his country and scored eight goals during his international career.
