Roberto Pereyra Edging Closer to England Move with Watford

Roberto Pereyra has been steady attracting interest from the English Premier League.

The versatile midfielder is being heavily tracked by English duo Swansea City & Watford. Unfortunately due to an injury ravaged 12 months he made limited appearances and as a result he has dropped down the pecking order at Juventus.

Despite this the midfielder is still highly regarded and as a result has become an important transfer target for both of these clubs. Furthermore his reputation heralds from the stunning season the 25 year old had in his initial season at Juventus in 2014.

These links are strengthened by two key factors, both Watford and Swansea are managed by Italians. Walter Mazzari- who recently took the reins at Watford and his counterpart Francesco Guidolin at Swansea City have indicated their interest in the player.  The 10 time Argentinian international has been sounded out as a possible star recruit as each club seeks to utilise their new found kitty’s which have been bolstered by the EPL’s recent TV deals. Roberto Pereyra has a valuation of close €18 million and both managers have been informed that they will need to pay up to get their man.

However this could be complicated by Juventus’s intent to sign Belgium international Axel Witsel and their desire to use Roberto Pereyra as a makeweight in the transfer. The star is also being linked to Roma who consider The Zenit St Peterburg’s valuation of €35 million to be excessive. Juventus on the other hand are willing to offer a player plus cash deal in order to get their star man.
