Roma’s proposal to keep Szczesny in the Italian capital has been declined.
The Giallorossi have an intriguing scenario unfolding with the goalkeepers as Alisson, the young Brazilian keeper prepares to arrive on the first of July.
Morgan De Sanctis will bid adieu to Roma, and now is seems Wojciech Szczesny will do the same. Roma submitted an offer deemed unacceptable, according to The Guardian, and now it seems a return to the Gunners is on the horizon.
At this time it’s likely Arsenal will renew Szczesny’s contract and then possibly send him out on loan for a second time. Roma’s revolving door of goalkeepers continues, and for De Sanctis and Szczesny, this means the end of the time in the capital city.
Szczesny joined on loan in the summer of last year and usurped the Italian’s role as the starting keeper fairly quickly into the 2015/2016 season.
