Kevin-Prince Boateng, the ex-Milan midfielder who has returned to Milanello after being frozen out of contract with Schalke, could make a return to the pitch sooner than expected.
AC Milan take on Monza in a friendly tomorrow during the international break, meaning several spots are open on the team and Boateng could make an appearance.
Milan Channel confirmed as well that Boateng was eligible to play for the Rossoneri tomorrow.
With two months left on his contract for German side Schalke 04, Boateng cannot make a full senior appearance in a competitive fixture for Milan.
The road back to rejoining the club he spent many years with is long, but in 2016, he could be back on the pitch at the San Siro.
Mario Balotelli has also failed to recover from an injury in time and will not feature in the friendly.
