Just two days from the Derby d’Italia, the clash off the field between Juve and Inter is heating up.
Felipe Melo is the latest to fire shots to the press ahead of the game, this time he spoke to Italian newspaper La Repubblica.
“7 years ago I could have an Inter player. Mourinho wanted me and I wanted him. In the end of I went to Fiorentina, then to Juventus, and finally Galatasaray, where I won a lot. But God wanted me here, so I had to find a way [to Inter].
“Going to Juventus was a mistake, I would have done better going to Inter, I would have won the Treble there.
“I already took a great satisfaction, two years ago, eliminating Juventus in the Champions league with Galatasaray.
“But that’s normal. It was just one big game.
“Sunday will be a big one again. It’s a date which deserves respect, the derby isn’t dead. We have to remind ourselves that we’re playing at the San Siro, our house, there we have to control it,” Melo concluded.
