Former Udinese and Palermo coach Francesco Guidolin spoke to Naples based Radio CRC on the chance he had to coach Napoli.
Guidolin revealed to the Naples based radio station exactly why he turned them down.
“I turned down the Napoli coaching job twice, and the second time I was wrong. The first time we (Udinese) had reached the Champions League and I didn’t feel like leaving the team, the second time I was contacted was after Mazzarri left, before Benitez arrived. I messed in saying no, I should have accepted De Laurentiis’ offer, he was always nice to me” Guidolin then talked about his future:”I needed to take a break, now if there’s an interesting opportunity I will evaluate it but I can’t say if anyone is interested”.
