Fiorentina is looking to acquire Argentinian center back Lisandro Lopez in the upcoming transfer window.
Currently playing for SL Benfica, contacts between the two clubs began in last summer with talks about Lopez eventually being postponed. Lopez is currently unhappy about his situation at the Portuguese giants after failing to secure any significant playing time so far this season.

The player’s agent is also set to meet with Benfica’s president in November to clarify the player’s position at club. La Viola is also looking to exploit their excellent relationship with Benefica’s sporting director, Manuel Rui Costa. Phillipe Mexes is also seen as an alternative, with the Frenchmen already out of Milan’s plans as well as almost completing a move to Fiorentina during the summer.
